Could there BE a more worthwhile and soothing cure for the inauguration shit fest other than discovering ways in which we can assist local Chicago communities which will be in the cross hairs of the cheetoh n Chief and his cronies? Lucky for all of us, former Geronimo! band leader; Kelly Johnson, John Ugolini od kickstand productions, and Chicago artist Jennifer Cumberworth are organizing an awesome full-day event taking place at the Beat Kitchen this Saturday, January 21.
No Walls: A Benefit for Marginalized Chicago Communities will be showcasing a discussion on how all of us can effectively get off our couches and then actively getting involved in our local chicago politic arena as well as comedic stand-up, Spoken word, graphic design, storytelling, as well as a concert that will involve Troubled Hubble, the Avantist, postpunk three-piece No Men, and last but least the rap duo Mother Nature. They are asking for a $10 donation which will go towards HIV/AIDS assistance service: The Chicago House, The Chicago Women’s Health Center,Mr. Howard Brown Health services, and the adventist mental health clergy.
